What we collect, and why
Ask Mike
Your name, email and your question. The email is used to reply to you. Questions are read by Mike. If a question is ever published on this site, it's with your permission and shows first name and neighbourhood only.
Get Involved
Contact details and what you'd like to help with, used to get in touch about volunteering. Volunteers are kept on the list through election day and it's deleted afterward unless you've asked to stay in touch.
Donate
Payments run through Stripe and card numbers never touch this site or reach the campaign. Donations to local election campaigns in B.C. are regulated: the campaign is required to record donor details and to report contributions to Elections BC, which publishes them. That reporting obligation is set by law and isn't something the campaign can waive.
Event RSVPs
Whether you're coming, and optionally a headcount, name and email. Used to plan numbers and to reach you if the event details change. Deleted within 30 days after the event, unless you asked for campaign updates when you RSVP'd.
Campaign updates
We only email you updates if you ticked a box asking for them. It's never bundled into something else you were doing, and every update has a way to stop. Ask us to remove you and we will, without asking why.
What we don't do
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We don't share it outside the campaign except where the law requires it, as with donation reporting. We don't combine what you give us with data bought from anywhere else, and we don't build profiles predicting how you'll vote.
Analytics
This site uses Plausible, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking individuals across sites. We can see that a page was visited. We can't see who you are.
Your rights
Under B.C.'s Personal Information Protection Act you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and withdraw consent for us to keep using it. Email campaign@mcgraw4mayor.ca. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled it, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
